Engineering Experience

Fluid Mechanics Lab Intern, LU Mech Dep.

Oversee the laboratory and operate experiments for classes of 15+ students for all 4 spring semesters. Demonstrate simultaneously acquiring two channels of data using LabVIEW to the lab students. Maintain and design improvements for the ME 207 fluids lab experiments. Study the setup, lab, and data aspects of both the vortex shedding and axisymmetric jet lab.

Feb 2020 - Present
Coupling Technology Intern, Victaulic

Calculated new dimensions and designed the 1¼” & 1½” Firelock pipe fittings to include the bulbous shape. Designed 8 SolidWorks models of tapered pipe thread and displayed varying thicknesses for consumer intake. Created an Excel calculator to determine spool length and assembly weight for 20+ Dynamic Movement Joints. Marked up 10+ style W257 / W77 engineering drawings to add new values and omit previous mistakes. Performed torsional testing with a team of 3 on various couplings in order to ensure strength capabilities.

May 2021 - Aug 2021
Drivetrain Subteam Member, LU Formula SAE

Assisted in improving machine performance, such as constructing a plexiglass enclosure for the 3D printer. Measured, cut, and ground steel X-brace profiles in order to implement onto the chassis. Organized shop materials into different sections, such as brake, suspension, exhaust, fuel, and drive train parts.

Feb 2020 - May 2021
Global Quality Assurance Intern, Victaulic

Inspected thousands of VicFlex hoses for score marks in order to send out healthy hoses to the public. Sorted and packaged hoses into categories of varying quality. Counted the number of hoses that were sent out and organized them by part code, length, and reducer diameter.

Projects / Labs

Axisymmetric Jet Lab, Lehigh University

Determined the appropriate dimensionless scaling for jet velocity profiles using the Buckingham Pi Theorem. Acquired the pressure profile in the jet by centering the probe tip and traversing the probe to a series of locations. Collected data by running the LabVIEW program while simultaneously traversing the probe across the jet.

February 2021
Stapler Design Project, Lehigh University

Disassembled a stapler and sketched each of the 12 parts to exact dimensions. Designed each part on SolidWorks and created isometric views, assembly views, section views, and production drawings with GD&T annotations. Redesigned the stapler plastic housing in order to keep its primary function, while being able to stand on its back end.

August 2020

Leadership

Student Mentor, Mentor Collective

Provide guidance to first year students navigating the transition to college academics. Advise on course selection, clubs, and share university resources and connections.

May 2020 - Present
Team Member, Naz-O-Nut

Completed various kitchen / customer-service activities. Created a welcoming customer atmosphere by efficiently expediting orders. Maintained a clean and safe environment by adhering to company policies and procedures.
